If you're behind the fence then you are on the right track. Continue from there and you should get to an open area with a lot of zombies and headcrabs. That's the first place I got stuck on in Ravenholm, but it's quite simple, really. I just missed a small little detail.

I honestly don't know to be honest. I find the base game to be quite gentle when it comes to Marauders. They give you nice and open arenas and not too much chaos you have to worry about when the big boy himself appears. I can throw them a bone when it comes to the one in the Slayer Gate, but eh.. even that one isn't too bad once you get into the game.
But what do I know.. I suppose if you try to fight a Marauder with the chaingun then it'll take quite a long time till you see the light of the day.

I can fill in for Aussie as I've played them quite extensively myself.
The game is generally very similar to Dying Light, just inferior in almost every aspect.

• The combat is quite fun and probably the strongest part of the game along with exploration.
• The movement can be quite rough and clunky at times and you will most likely get quite annoyed at it from time to time.
• The story and characters are the weakest parts of the game alongside all the bugs that come in various forms and shapes.
  Overall, if you pick it up during a generous sale then you can get an alright bang for your buck if you're into those type of games.

And obviously, very much like Dying Light, Dead Island especially is far more enjoyable with friends.
