The M16 is quite a good weapon that don't see much people use

3 rount burst makes quick kills if you can hit them

you can get a legendary with explosive thats usefull at a distance but there are no slugs for increase range with no damage falloff

Yeah, I feel as like if I'm going to put on a Suppressor I'll be losing a lot in terms of range so there's no point in having a scope if I won't be able to kill anything at mid range.
Of course, the Suppressor is for my Stealth build, so it'll make it easier to take down a foe without alerting everyone.

there is a floating town with a specially named explosive combat shotgun you can get, its amazing for damage because of each pellet doing explosive damage, so it works well for close quarters sneaking

Yes, I had my chance with a regular shotgun getting this modifier on my first playthrough.
Now I'll be using the Combat Shotgun for this playthrough since it seems like I had underestimated it the first time I got/seen it, or maybe just didn't favour it since I liked the regular shotgun more, but hey now I'll be having fun delivering much more damage to my foes and without having to reload constantly thanks to the drum mag.

Also, I decided to do some further Exploration of the Glowing Sea, it's suprisng that for a barren place like this, it contains some notable areas that are simply not marked on the map.
Like the wrecked Red Rocket truckstop which contained a Master lock, which is quite close to a 'Cave' location, other was some destroyed bus with lots of Feral Ghouls, one of them being a Putrid Glowing One which was quite alright to fight.

I guess one of the CC contents also appeared since I kept using V.A.T.S. to see any enemies nearby, I was greeted with an Enclave Soldier atop a building with an interesting weapon, I decided not to go there after reaching like level fifty if I'm willing to take a risk sneaking into a base that is completely new to me in every aspect. At least there's more The Glowing Sea content.

Ridiculous, should've just went with components and not JUST throwing in items for the crafting, some can be quite uncommon to obtain, especially what the benefits are from some of the darts ('Chance' especially sucks on the ones that have them, since you have to gamble on the dart to work, otherwise you shot your shot which did nothing to the enemy).
