If you are thinking of playing solo, it is not recommended for most people, the game is scaled for 4 even if you play alone. And one of the hardest co-op games out there And has frendly fire . all missions are roguelike, some can take 1-2 hours and if you die you start over from the beginning.

Hard to say. When I just started, first couple weeks were amazing. The setting was fresh, the new mechanics were interesting to learn. Then I got into online with friends, played a week or two more. Online felt like it was a grind, and that kinda left a mark on me. When I returned to single player, that feeling of grind stayed, and I felt I didn't want that, so I quit.
