If you do mod it, get Death Recovery. Its basically just a gravestone you put outside your base and after you spawn back at base, go to gravestone and recover corpse.

The other one I never play without is Dino Storage. Its like cryopods but easier to craft and you have a soul gun. So you shoot your dino and it instantly stick it unto a soul ball, saving it from death.

Dino Storage v2 is the one I have.

You can also up the quality of loot drops in settings. You will still get shit ones but you will get better blueprints as well.

It's just easier when you're playing solo, because ultimately it's a co-op game.

I think it can locate missing soul balls, but if you've used the gun to capture the dino, it's automatically in your inventory anyway.

Yep. So long as you have empty soul balls in your inventory, it will immediately capture it.

So if your dino is being attacked, you can shoot it with the soul gun and save it from being killed.

Yeah, that's the Island unfortunately. Many low levels spawn.
