I'd say get a breather in the form of another game. Playing sequels in order can cause quick burnout, because the gameplay doesn't change too much from the first to the second one.

I have the same problem with Just Cause games, and the Lego ones as well. On their own they're great, but if I try to finish one and immediately start another, it feels tiresome and boring.

Like Aiden isn't one note because he's monotone and cold. That's literally the depth to his character

He puts on a cold front because he lives in a world were even the tiniest vulnerability or crack in security can be exploited and used against you. HE himself does it to thousands of people a day, and has had it happen to him resulting in the death of his niece

He cannot let any insecurity slip, so he keeps up an enigmatic front to protect him and his family

This isn't something you really need to read between the lines to understand, it's clearly shown and stated in the game

Also who wouldnt act cold when you literally see a family member get killed by hitmen or "fixers" after you

It's hard to find Aiden to be a bad protagonist with how real he is. He's still in grief, and he puts up an impenetrable veil of edge to cope.

That's relatable, I feel like a lot of men grieve in this way. Sure we may not obsess over revenge and justice to the point of hysteria, exploitation, crime, and murder, but I feel like a lot of us can relate to how Aiden handles loss and trauma. To just completely lock up, because being vulnerable could expose our own insecurities and break down our image in the protector role.

I'm not saying that it's true, just think the feeling is relatable for men especially.

I always felt the same about Connor from ac3, people hated his personality because he wasn't charming and charismatic like ezio.

He was troubled, naive, and angry. He was ignorant at best and stupid at worse

But inhate how people take this as poor writing when it's literally the opposite, being stupid is a character flaw, and it's one that's consistently challenged through ac3 as Connor had to face the truth of his situation multiple times instead of just living the fairy tale that "assassin's good" "Templar bad"

And also people hating that Aiden was such a dark character lead to the Disney Rollercoaster that was the wd2 story, and I hate that ubisoft are so easy to bend like that

Especially since they do that so consistently and yet people still pretend like they don't listen to the community

Marcus is kind of a perfect guy, there's nothing he can't do and no funny quip he can't make. They wrote out character flaws huh, guess Aiden had too many
