Exactly. It's my favorite game of all time for this reason.

It's why I always found the criticisms if it's combat or overall gameplay in general a bit silly. I mean sure the game doesn't have a traditional gameplay loop but imo that's what makes it so great.

It kind of sidesteps being a video game and instead opts to just be a world. The gameplay is Arthur Morgan's life, you hunt, survive, care for your gang mates. Those sort if cowboy Sim elements are why have 1000+ hours between 6 playthroughs and like level 200 on the online mode

It socks that it's genetic gameplay causes people to call the game itself genetic or lacking innovation as if the combat or gameplay loop are the only things that make a game stand out as innovative

Nothing about those systems need to be deeper, and even if they were I still don't think it'd add much more to the game

If you aren't compelled by the world or narrative I really don't think Arthur having a skill tree or Stat boosts would keep bored players invested for the 60+ hour campaign

It's just something that has to click, you have to care about Arthur and the world. If you don't you probably won't enjoy the game, and that's totally fine.

its really good so far, its performance regarding shadows is really really bad. so if you are ok with medium shadows or have a god pc I recommend it highly

its a drive/survive game.

no hunger or anything, your car is your lifeline. everything you and loot for is to upgrade your car and garage so you can make bigger runs and do more dangerous things and have a cooler looking.stronger car

the driving and surviving is about 50/50

there are times you will want to stop at every little thing and loot. and other times you end up driving down long highways just to get somewhere far far away.

Hook down, align where your aircraft is heading to be on the deck (rough landings are the best for these) as soon as you hit the deck go full power incase the cable slips and if you come to a stop just power to idle.

Try it in any game with carriers and landings.
