It's all building up to a grander point though. Because if you can accept that night city in terms of pure aesthetic and design is artistically fulfilled and as a space for gameplay, fully realized in the way that it immerses you and makes you care for the people in it then it's somewhat disingenuous to make the argument that one of the worlds core themes and components, being the hyper sexualization isn't artistic

Even if it just a player taking horny bait pictures of their own character, who's to say that's not art. Imagine that picture being plastered on a billboard in-game as an advertisement for underwear, sex cybernetics, or some other form of cosmetic alteration. All the sudden it fights right in to cyberpunks atmosphere and artistic vision being capitalism as an advertisement and objectification by way of sexualization.

If night city lost that part of it's world building, it automatically loses a massive part of city's artistic nature, it's immediately that much less immersive

Would they though? Cyberpunk as a genre and specifically pondsmiths universe is meant to serve as a sort of warning to today's humans. It's dystopian, and never set too far in the future as be something that the average person may not see in their lifetimes.

That's important because there's a ton of things in cyberpunk 2077 that are taken directly from today's world. The sexualization is one of those things

We already see movies, shows, advertising desensitize the last two generations to sex and it's only going to get worse. Even products and ads in our modern day will have sexual energy just because it's become so common place regardless of if it's relevant to the product. We're constantly having what are essentially porn stars advertised to us daily and unsolicited by way of onlyfans models on social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram

Cyberpunk only takes it one step forward and exaggerates as it does with many things to prove a point. There's something dystopian and frankly gross about seeing literally children roaming the streets where there's straight up fully nude women and a picture of a man about to commit suicide on billboards, shootouts and corpses around every corner. All of which mirrors our own 2024 reality only without the on-the-nose exaggeratiom of it literally being directly in front of us all the time

I think you still misunderstand my point about art and my reason for using the Mona Lisa argument as an example, so let me reiterate.

The term "art is subjective" is so popular because it's mostly true, and it's how you are currently using the term. "Art is subjective" is usually used as a deflection of sorts when someone doesn't like a piece that another person does, so the term is built on the subjective nature of enjoying a piece of art or not.

I'm talking about the broader definition of art, which has an albeit loose but pretty definitive definition in that it's something that invokes emotion/feeling etc.

So while you may not find the Mona Lisa subjectively appealing, the fact that it has the power to make you feel a certain way about it is important, it's what makes it a piece of art.

That's the point I was making, you could love it, hate it, you could feel indifference but the fact that it makes you feel something (in this case you're acknowledging it's value as a painting while also prescribing the connotation that it's valuable to do "some rich dudes) is what in itself makes the painting a piece of art. The fact that the thought cross your mind that the painting is far more valuable than 100k but you wouldn't save it out of seemingly principle is important because it tells me how you feel about the piece without you explicitly telling me.

For music, you can always search up a website (like I do, Beepbox is one of those examples) and make music on it, but I do understand why you would want to learn on an actual instrument. It's hard to master playing depending on what instrument you'd want to learn, sometimes you might not even be encouraged to play since you'll be busy with other stuff. Just like how my father wanted me to play guitar, I'm just simply not interested yet I do feel like it would make him feel better about it.

I do believe you'll eventually find friends that can help you in finding your goal of becoming a professional singer/instrument player in a band, or will find a person someday which can help you with learning more about music, and at that point you could create your own band with them or hire people who can support you.

Harmonica is a pretty easy instrument to learn, but an instrument nonetheless, but I do understand that you'd go for something more complex since learning to play an instrument shouldn't be a cake walk to begin with. Or perhaps you just feel like playing an instrument that has a sound that makes it stand out to you, but if that's the case then I suppose you should listen to a lot of songs and find the one sound you're interested in learning to recreate to then essentially be able to play many other tracks on it.

I thought it would've been LBP but in triple-d (again but this time no more racing in karts) but when I found out there was no create mode, I felt like this wasn't an LBP game (I mean it doesn't have the LBP in the title but the character's name is so, how I would not be quite upset over the fact?)

Although I do appreciate it for what it is, I even almost finished the whole game with my brother but we stopped because we just didn't have the motivation to do further levels.

I was trying to find the picture of the Factory of the Better Tomorrow fist puzzle where the player makes a middle finger and a sign shows up, clever little touch.

Not to mention one of the levels in Savannah in the first game, as a kid I would never know that one of the sections of the last level looked like a certain 'club' reserved for meerkats.

No joke, this was an actual thing in the main campaign of the game, they literally got away with this.

@wind gorge lol me and my friend got autobalanced so we did the grenade achievement for each other

easily the hardest achievement in the game

J.R. .50 was easier than this cuz that one I actually managed to do completely legit

in that one u just gotta get to the turret and have a driver in the seat to kill while being inside map bounds

but the grenade sound has poor directional audio so you first gotta search for it in your approximate area, if you manage to spot it then you have to hope there's no gun laying around on top of it cuz to pick it up is the same keybind as tossing the nade back, then you gotta hope the fuze has enough time to manage to get back to the enemy, and then you gotta home wherever you toss it actually has an enemy to kill, and hope u don't get shot while tossing it back.

115 hours to get this achievement

but the funny thing is I'm still missing the "Carrying" one

that one is also insane cuz you need the luck of having both impossibles at the same time

to be the last guy alive so even your marksmans are dead

and then u need a clueless enemy team

cuz no amount of skill can beat a decent enemy team if you're 1 against 8 and they rush you at the same time as soon as you start capturing

it has to be a lucky scenario where you're clearing an obj and ur team dies and you get the jump on the last defender in it

clutching in this game is not like R6, in this game sound is broken as fuck so you probably dont hear footsteps at all, and there might be like 5 people for you to kill alone while you have 1,5 mags left and they have the angle holding advantage
