I just quickly looked at some Assassin's Creed Mirage gameplay (combat) and I have never seen something so disappointing from Ubisoft. When you strike an enemy they don't even react to the hit, there is zero immersion

The parkour and graphics are stunning obviously but the combat is shit other than finishers and rolling over an enemy's back to dodge an attack.

The entire skill tree system is overhauled so much its literally a new game

And though I just started it again it seems like they incorporated the whole cyber psychosis risk into the game now

yet when the car window is oriented so that the setting sun light is shining through it, look at the yellow sunlight bouncing off his red jacket, illuminating the interior of the car, and the light bouncing around the interior

its absolutely incredible seeing it in real time.

this is just like 2 seconds later, and look at how drastic of a difference

with pathtracing, one of the things noone really talks about is how is helps solve one of those things that have plagued games since they were brought into 3d, and thats the appearance of things not feeling grounded, or connected to eachother. objects often appear to be floating ontop of the ground in alot of lighting conditions, or elements of the gameworld dont look like the belong for one reason or another, but with pathtracing, it makes everything feel like it belongs together

this is without pathtracing, but its still using the highest raytracing settings and everything else maxxed out, and notice how there is no shading to the left of the big guy. you cant even tell if his back is touching the seat or not, but your brain assumes it is becuase of his position, but it still feels like something isnt right...

and then the same scene only taken through photomode so that its pathtraced. now everything feels grounded, connected to eachother, you can even see the drivers glasses casting a shadow on his own face. also should note that photomode has this supersampling feature that makes hair and things look ALOT better, as if its in 4k even though the native res was 1080p

Eh not really. Car chases are easy to lose honestly and the driving is still absolute garbage. The entire road feels like its made out of ice due to how bad the handling of most vehicles are.
Vehicle combat is alright and plays almost exactly like the mod for it published back a year ago. I was hoping where you'd actually be able to get out of the window during those scripted scenes and be able to shoot in 1st person. Guess it was too much to implement.

However the vehicle guns are pretty fun to use

they are like a lot better to use than your own gun in the vehicle

Especially compared to gta5. Such a shame how much they dumbed down driving in gta5

And its great being able to drive through traffic without the game intentionally putting cars in your way to crash you

Then I guess you need to play more open world games because in all the 120 (88 hours for update 2.0 so total 200) hours I have spent on this game the driving is hands down the worst feature and still persistent issue with the game

The only vehicle that doesn't have piss poor handling is Jackie's bike

It's too bad there's barely anything you can interact with as most interiors are closed and wont open

Steam Deck's a cool concept, and it can play most modern games, but it doesn't play them exceptionally well IMO
