||never finished the game but what I will say is that the mcus take.on guardians has always been about trying to really characterize them and show them becoming a family. The first movie was an origin story, so we only really got characterization for Peter and gamora. Then vol 2 where we got a lot of Peter and some more growth for rest of the cast. That movie was literally about Peter trying to cope about his dad yet coming around and realizing his really family is friends he made a long the way... Lol I'm joking but I'm also not, Peter learns to see them as more of his family than his real one ever was. And in guardians 3 it just solidifies that as we see all the characters acting FOR eachother. It's not a huge avengers level threat, it's just a guy trying to save his best friend and a subplot characterizing rocket which I think his character really deserves. By the end all the characters feel very close ||

The thing is, we as spider man fans have a tendency to familiarise ourselves with a particular design and form a sort of 'nostalgic' attachment to it. It's funny cuz this is a pattern that I've noticed in all spider man fans, and that's what happened with his old face. We familiarised ourself with John Bubnaik's face and now we cannot see anyone else wearing the mask, it just looks weird. I don't mind his new face but his old face is just better.
