the p+t modes are the classic and authentic titanfall experience where you need to progress to that power spike and then you keep flyswatting pilots while trying to destroy the other titans
titan modes are kind of like chess they are very technical and slow paced and its fun if you like using your brain. Being a pilot is just a backup plan after getting fucked. It's like skipping to the cool part.

so I almost never use splitting and I just magdump with hipfire and aim for the crit, and if they are far I spam laser shot every time energy refills enough. Before I spot someone I like to roam around and peek corners holding laser shot. If there is nobody then I cancel it with melee and start again. Depending on the enemy I might time vortex to catch their strongest ability like tone's rockets to return it or try to time it with Legion's powershots and Scorch's shots in general. Northstar can be completely nullified if you catch all the singular, sometimes predictable railgun shots and the cluster missile.
There is a glitch where you can deploy tripwires without using energy. You just have to drop them while you are holding laser shot. If the enemy is a titan that likes to get close like scorch and ronin I always drop them in advance so its available sooner after they have eventually gotten close.

I was never big on movement tech on console I kind of just used the default movement features
wallran and used slide boosts a lot but I would just go back on walls instead of jumping again
on pc I had a history with source games so I started slide hopping and got pretty good at it but I cant remember how the crazy shit works

its pissing me off
apparently i cant enable raytracing without it crashing unless i lower textures down to 1gb (maximum is 8gb)
yet if raytracing is disabled, i can crank textures up to 8gb with no fps issues, rock solid 60fps, and everything else maxxed. with raytracing maxxed it still maintains 60fps too, so its just an extra slap in the face
