Going into it from bo2 and AW felt like a downgrade to both when it should have the combination of best of both worlds

I think I didn't like multi because they half assed the idea. Movement shooters are great when they fucking OWN what they're doing; forget about realism and make the map a playground. Go crazy or go home. They made all that progress to squander it. If Treyarch was that scared, they should've left it tame like bo2. That's what the teaser implied, anyway. But it turned out too slow to be as good as Titanfall, but fast enough to leave the boundaries that made og cod fun. AW was unapologetically fast paced, and that's where it gets the grit that makes me hard for it Bo3 going for smoothness was its downfall.
