That's a bit of a 50/50
Lots of demos show a small, good portion of the game to try and represent what comes in the final product. Some devs get a bit creative with them. Though some or even a lot of the stuff shown in demos don't always come back in the final product as well. But even then. You can't put out a wack demo and still expect people to buy the game. I've seen a ton of people cancel their preorders because of its horrendous demo
