I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant here because this game honestly pissed me off, mainly because i walked into it with high hopes expecting to have a blast like the good old ps2 days and considering it's seen as one of the best 3D sonic games i thought hey i can't go wrong the community loves it, once i played it tho it honestly made me question just wtf is the sonic community on these days if this is the standard for a great 3D game, looking at a bunch of reviews and the general opinion surrounding it most people seem to hate SEGA for this remaster because of its bugs and its new look, even when ignoring these bugs (because i didn't encounter any), it's literally the dark souls 2 of sonic where i can tell the devs were having a crisis trying to figure out what they're trying to do, the movement is sluggish, unnatural and unresponsive and what's even worse is how many useless bloat mechanics there are, there's so much shit that serves no purpose other than it tries to add depth but all it does is slow you down and give you a brain tumor similar to what you'd get from a stutter (in a game where you're supposed to be going real fast all the time), the level design is boring and it feels like i've already seen it 50 times before, they all follow the same pattern, they all try to be a mix of 3D as well as 2D but the 2D sections are so bland that i feel like this game would've been better off without them, it feels like when a game tries to be 2 things at once and just fails at being good in either, because of this the game overall feels like a shitshow that's just glued together, you're supposed to just playthrough it once then never come back to it, it lacks that replay value that these games need to have and that even modern new entries like crash bandicoot 4 were able to do.

2/10 game, i hope they keep making trash like this since suckers will support and love it.

i rarely get pissed off by games that are just so bad, if a game is mid its mid but to see a game this bad get praised by people is just insane
