Also most of the time you don't really need a lock on anyway. In large groups you really don't need it

Not really no, the game isn't actually that difficult. Once you get healing items you can carry 99 of each type of potion and the game is pretty forgiving on the damage of the enemies
It's actually a pretty easy game even in hard
