yeah, those things that jump at you when you're opening something that usually has loot exist, they have existed for a while now and every game in this genre also uses them, they're a standard, not sure if you knew that

that's when they can one shot you like the mimics in DS2 for example, in callisto they're just used as a cheap jumpscare like every other game that uses them does, hell even arkham asylum had them, like i can see you're trying to find any reason to hate this game but you can have that - and i'll point out a + that outweighs it and actually represents the game design of this game, which is how the the side quests are made, it's not an ooga booga climb down the ladder then climb back up, you'll generally not know if it's a side quest you're jumping down in and it adds to the intensity of it, then the route back out is completely different, i love this, alot of games do it but the way its done here is so interesting

i legit don't understand the "healing is sparse" take, like im playing on maximum difficulty and i have atleast 2 health injectors on me at all times, even on this difficulty it takes 4 straight hits for them to kill you most of the time (assuming they don't pull the insta kill moves that even require full health), the general rule isn't gonna change at all for a fight, you either kill them and you have time to heal or you're gonna die, plain and simple

like this is once again one of the design choices they made, jacob doesnt just pull out the syringe and heal in a second like other games do, why are you guys so upset about this

it's like people who shit call DS2 because drinking takes ages, you're allowed to not like it thats fine just don't call it bad game design
