i played like an hour of the game, all of it was trying to beat that first fat thing that you're supposed to go past
but then i died and it took me to this weird area that's like somewhere completely different
so yeah, based off just that i'd rate it 10/10
better than DS2 for sure
one thing that i've noticed across both the little time i played in demons souls and ds2 is that the worst parts about the game are the first 2 hours or so

That's why elden ring is so goated cause no matter what build you use you'll probably atleast have points into one of the types of magic so you can use some basic spells along with your actual build
Like I was using a quality build in ER but because I had a weapon scaling with faith I was also able to use quite a bit of incantations
Elden ring has some real broken spellcasting though
