Slightly higher has a lower field of view, a much shittier passthrough camera (pretty sure it's not even color), the inside out tracking means basic control schemes like holster systems don't work unless the developer does something like contractors and puts all your equipment on your chest, obscuring your view and making it way too easy to grab the wrong thing
