i fucking HATE screenspace reflections so i was quite excited for raytraced reflections personally

i still remember the first time i saw them used in a game i played, assassins creed black flag

when it would rain it would be applied to everything wet, but as soon as the object wasnt on screen it dissapeared

reflections dissapearing when your gun is aiming at something becuase the object is obscured by your hand and the weapon
