No levels, so no grind. You can find better stuff by exploring and sometimes you might get lucky. Why? Because the npcs in the world do their own thing unlike cyberpunk. The world is actually alive. Every character has a name, faction and reputation and they are forever gone if killed. Sometimes they happen to cross paths and fight each other even without your involvement, so you might find a mercenary who's carrying the weapons of four men he killed earlier and their patches too. Random shootouts aren't just ambience, they happen for real and you can go to them and witness it for yourself. There is also this chat server where npcs send random messages as if they were tweets or something. I like that as well, they talk about what's currently going on or about their own status, sometimes they request help and state where they are or boast over killing someone else. They also talk about hearing gunshots in specific locations, your shots too.
