Me too. It's why I like joker and riddler as Batman villains. It's also why in marvel I really like the black cat and Mysterio as spiderman villains. Bonus: taskmaster being like my favorite marvel villain.

Talking about taskmaster reminded me of how bad I need a game to do taskmaster right as a villain 🥺

In spiderman he was just a dude that plants bombs you have to defuse and then fights you twice and isn't hard to beat at all...

In marvels avengers you fight him once as black widow in the tutorial then there's a mission where you just go beat him with ease...

Tying it back to Arkham, a taskmaster fight done right should take VERY heavy inspiration from the Mr freeze fight in Arkham city. You can only use one move once against him and then he learns it and it doesn't work anymore forcing you to use everything at your disposal to beat him

Insane how the best taskmaster fight is the Mr freeze fight... lol

3 was garbage, one of those copy paste game, it was boring as hell to playthrough it, only redeeming aspect of it were the DLC's

in 4 they finally learned how to properly pace the outpost libs with the main storyline, and it was actually well thought of not just destroy 5 generators 3 radio towers 6 water plants over and over again till you liberate a region to unlock an actual story mission

as far as graphics / performance goes it was garbage at launch on ps4 atleast until that update that brought the new lighting engine or whatever, jc3 had that natural look to it but 4 also looked good with that postfx filter or whatever they had going on, the sound design in that game is also goated, the sound explosions make is goated

@shrewd sparrow on a serious note i cant get over how well arkham knight holds up, im enjoying it even more this time around but i think thats mainly because i finished it on the broken launch PC port where it was stuttering like hell, especially during the batmobile sections, still even when i compare it to the 2018 spiderman and miles morales it just hits different, literally

i feel like games who know how to properly make use of night time always last long visually, same with the 2016 NFS or even heat, daytime looks meh but at night it really shines

also games that have godlike bloom / reflections that don't look like they're straight out of blender 2.69 are goated

Lol. I'll try to finish the DUSK series this year, but I can't guarantee anything. I haven't tried it in Duskmare yet, but Episode 3 just seems too inconsistent with E3M9 and E3M10. Episode 2 shouldn't be too much of an issue except for the Erebus Reactor which is probably going to be the run killer.

And I'm not entirely sure what I would like to do with Big John. You can easily cheese him and destroy him with ease, but I'd like to avoid cheap tactics in my run. It's just that his projectiles are really hard to dodge because they are incredibly random and inconsistent.

It's a lot like Jakob which is my main concern for E3M10.

Jakob is really easy to fight normally but if you're trying to do no damage runs then yes it is a pain.

Yeah, Jakob's fine in Cero Miedo, but the moment a little projectile can insta kill, the threat certainly becomes a lot greater. One of the reasons military dudes are among the most dangerous ones.

Yeah, but that's not the biggest issue in The Dig. It's the double Cowgirl in the end. The Grainery is worse for military dudes, but it's obviously not so bad since it is the first level.

The ambush is also hard if you choose that route, but you can skip it and come from behind if you drop down the crack after you go through the blue door.

I'm not sure. We'll see. The thing is, the other route is easier, but you're still gonna need to use a lot of ammo because of the Cowgirl there. It's just that you are able to play it safe if you want to. I guess I'll practice it a bit and see if it's consistent enough for my liking. Dying in The Dig would be incredibly demoralising.

Primal and new dawn for me

I remember my friend letting me borrow primal on a Friday and it was back in his hands monday
