There were no fence traps for me at first. I looked for them. They showed up after I got the skill, but I can't use them. Will see after mission.

I changed some of the keybinds in the game but when I exit and come back, everything gets reset to default. I've tried reinstalling the game, but it didn't help. Windows Defender also doesn't have the folder protection on so it can't be the one preventing changes to be made.

How do you get a 14k shotgun? highest ive seen is about 8k

It's a rather complicated method but I can describe it

Guns scale their base damage depending on your Power level (the Power skill tree). The usual cap of 8.9k you see for shotguns is the regular cap + legend buffs.

To get 14k, you gotta obtain a shotgun somewhere between Power level 2-6 (the colour of the gun is actually important this time, as at Power 2 orange is the best, and likewise at Power 6 blue is the best).

Once you obtain said gun, either via picking it up from the world, or via buying it from the shops, it will permanently have that base value (i.e. if you give it to someone else it won't change). Because of this, you can easily get a smurf save, buy the guns you want from a shop, and then (with the help of a friend) transfer it over to your main save that has the Legend buffs for that max damage potential.

In regards to what else is needed, you only need to worry about having your Power level between 2-6, and you need to max out your Survivor skill level, as the guns would start spawning in shops at higher levels. This is why you can't do this on a regular save, since you've probably already maxed out your Power skill tree.

Anyways, this method can be applied to any gun in the game, and I've tested every level up until like Power level 10 with every base game variant of gun. I'll link the spreadsheets + graphs that shows my research (which you can use to get the best damage rifles and SMGs if you want too as well).

Looking at the data you can see that the gun damage values drop off at around level 5-6 depending on what kind of gun you're looking for, so you gotta stay real low in your Power level if you want their stats to be good when getting them.
