Its more for bragging rights than anything else. Also, you won't see the extremely high gun damage that others have until you begin getting Legend levels. Ox Cannon is a good shotgun, so is Hellbeast

If you notice, as you play the game enemies begin to change. Early game at low level you fight biters missing arms or chunks, and they become less and less common as you get stronger. These are tier 1 biters. Then you begin finding tier 2 biters, more health on these things, and they have both arms so they can grab you. Tier 3 ones begin spawning with the burning or poison type biters, and will also sometimes use weapons. Visibly, this is the last change you see with female biters. Male biters begin spawning that look like workers, Rais' soldiers, and the like, and have the most healthy among biters, these are tier 4. Female biters can be tier 4, but will look identical to tier 3 ones. Virals also do this change, with early game looking like civilians and later game looking like runners

Early game, goons look like electrical workers. Thats tier 1. They have very little shockwave to their attacks. Then we get tier 2, fire fighter style ones. These are where the shockwave begins to be noticeable, as attacks that miss will still knock you over. Tier 3 ones look like mutated messes, and can spawn in with green coloration. These have the most noticeable shockwave

They also turn blue when hit with Conducting Liquid, Water 2.0, or when drowned

That wouldn't make sense. Nightmare increases the Survivor exp gain from Drops, because Legend exp isn't a thing. The way legend works is any experience in a maxed skill goes towards legend. Legend just need enormous amounts of exp. Test it out. Try 10 drops on Nightmare on a character with a very low level survivor, and compare it to doing the same on Normal
