the alpha dies pretty fast once you get to lvl 4-5 and have at least a blue weapon matching that level

and with the amount of purple weapons all over old town it's pretty easy to fully gear yourself in purples

they have the exact same health as a regular volatile, just a tiny bit more damage and with a larger moveset including some pretty fast attacks

but with the way they work mechanically you usually run into them either in an empty building to easily 1v1, or worst case scenario need to clear out a few biters along with the alpha

Hey so I don't get any of the new encounters

I get literally always the same

The I am bleeding out one
The I hang and choke one
The you find loot unguarded

The I fake an emergency thing and it's actually an ambush

There are apparently like a dozen new ones and I never had any of them

it's just random but the encounters seem to have set locations they can spawn, try to change up your routes when you travel

I've seen a bunch of new ones, like baron's men locking themselves in a shipping container to escape a goon and some infected, and baron's men blocking off a tunnel exit with trucks equipped with UV lights, hunting a volatile in the day

at the parking lot in recreation island with the charger spawn, I've seen bandit survivors take it over and made a temporary base with a bunch of boxes and weapon crates all loaded with random items like UV bars and batteries

Farmlands took me a while as well, there are quite a few in the woods, if you still can find any restart your game, sometimes that gets them to spawn, same with darkzone loot if you are struggling to find the last few

I'd reccomend using the sawblade launcher and getting stuff that gives you bonus headshot dmg

Because 1 shot of the sawblade does like 15% of their hp in dmg if you shoot their head

So restored land has no co op at all unless you use a mod and that's for pc only.

All rewards are unlocked permanently and go into your stash. The only exception is the car skin you get by winning the new races. You have to do that on normal node as well.

been going around for a while now just absolutely brutalizing any zombies i see and im still only at moderate threat despite running into almost no zombies

national park has way less biters than the other zones, so a single biter kill has more of an impact compared to something like Industrial or Old Town. Just stick to the hiking trails and kill the super small groups to drain the bar quickly

also don't forget the witch's hut in the valley with that one river, there are another 10-ish biters around there

it's easily one of the most boring areas to clear out, just mindlessly walk around killing singular zombies for an hour or 2

volatile hives do count, but you don't need 100% clear to "restore" a land. Just killing 85-90% of the biter population completes the area. Try clearing that area near the large convoy in the east, you can find packs of biters on the beaches and on the freeway

When you do a new run go straight for the ciupaga your able to get the legenary pistol and smg along it's way if you choose to use them, when fighting chimeras use fire arrows or molotovs before throwing the axe it increases dmg when their on fire

if you make it far enough personally I like using the bow you get during the E & F factory its amazing for the barons men but for the ciupaga you want to use the parkour armor set to increase its damage so save up as much as you can except when buying the extra backpack slots

Nawww dont listen to them. Its ez you need BOOSTERS. check out the eletrical stations and kill the spitters for the booster drops. Then take drugs and kill zombies

Also managed to glitched Vengeance Is Mine mission, where the enemy opened the door and I sneaked in, then went to the board and moved it, there were no infected. So once I was back there (you have to lock pick the door), infected spawned and don't need to fight them, running past them works and can maybe save some time.

Here is what I would do to get the strongest asap. Level up to level 4 within 2h. By doing side quests and killing zombies. Get the ||legendary pistol and assault rifle||, get the || chest armor from the old town and other armor pieces ||
Upgrade the recipes. And do the main story til you can control beast mode.

That would bring you to roughly 3h? I think. And then you should be level 6. Strong enough to take anyone on. Always charge up your beast bar by fist fighting before doing a difficult task

And don't forget the Easter egg axe after finishing "Vengeance is mine"

Then you basically have an OP melee weapon+blueprint that can do anything. Then I would get the intermediate (purple) crafting books. (Or sooner I don't remember when they start spawning)

You will also get the durability charm so you can lose far slower durability for your weapons. By then you should have also already the weapon durability skill. For much less wear down.

I'm aware there may be more efficient ways but I think that's already a solid one.

Literally all you gotta do is right when you start go for the ciupaga then keep doing the main mission till you hit the E & F Plant for the bow that insta headshots the barons men and throughout the story save up for backpack upgrades and the parkour set for the extre throwing melee damage it gives, stock up on boosters if you'd like and its all you need

During my playthrough I played the game much slower and much more carefully then I would a normal run.
A lot of deaths can be avoided by slowing down a bit, If I played RL the way I normally played DL then I would have about 20 or so deaths from fall damage within the first few hours.
Focus on side missions and levelling up to be at or over the recommended levels for mission, it makes a difference.

i think one of the volatile hives is bugged. i cleared the one near the monastery but couldn't loot it becuase i was chased by the alpha. now in the map appears still active but there is no hive to destroy

take a quick break
if you'd like , go grab the Ciupaga right at the start , it's a massive help
save your ammo for the end of the game and gather as much food and hp stuff as you can so you can make more mistakes
(i.e military medkits , bandages , hp boosters , etc)

your biggest goal is to not use more than 2 bandages with each encounter and avoid un-neccessary fights , try to play without perma-death first to see which parts you majorly struggle on and find a strat that fits you best

it's a dev weapon that innately has increased weapon throw damage and it returns to you when thrown
pair it with the parkour set and you're dealing massive damage just off a weapon throw

it wraps up most chimeras quickly and 1-2 taps normal zombies

Like I said to novel, only use the legendary version for looting because it's irreparable you can use the blueprint for fighting and its located on a mountain lodge you can walk to it straight from the start and you want to apply the parkour set so it increases thrown damage thats literally all you need but boosties do help not to mention having the chimeras on fire also increase dmg so fire arrows or molotovs
