Think ahead on what skills you want to unlock first

When purchasing items, focus on buying the Backpack upgrades

And prioritise looting Zombies over static loot as the Zombie loot despawns, and since Zombies don't respawn, that's lost loot

And a helpful little mechanic: When you Restore a region, friendly humans spawn. They also spawn with a bit of food, bags, some resources and maybe a weapon

Eg. Bus Stop Survivors spawn with 2 fuels, a bag and a can and a drink

Why do zombies keep spawning in that area if I don't complete the convoy? There's a convoy when you head to the power plant; I kill all the zombies, but skip finishing the convoy; I leave the area, wrap up the power plant mission, and suddenly a bunch of zombies pop up on the bridge.

the alpha volatile is so unbalanced. i know he is supposed to be tracking the player but it doesn't feel that way at all. it has always just felt like he just teleports close to the player if they get too far away instead of him naturally getting close.

Once you complete "A New Strain" and it starts "Vengeance is Mine", you'll hit the first scaling point, where Old Town and Recreation Island will increase in level to match Farmland and Industrial.

I had like 8 full stacks of 25 food items at the end of my playthrough just sitting in storage, and I didn't even try to loot every building. Once you Restore an area, survivors spawn all over that area with food items next to them. You can also buy small bits of food regularly, and there seem to be small biter encounters that respawn even in restored zones that can drop food items.

Food is the least of your concern.

You will genuinely get so much food from just ONE ZONE that it will last you for 100's of hours.

Yes to both. You can reduce volatile numbers by destroying hives but the alpha will hunt you sooner

like onget why they were broken in dl2 but its overnerfed

now they’re kinda situational where as dmg and toughness boosters still have their uses

the only complaint with the healing boosters I have is how expensive they are to craft for their strength

but it's still 300% total hp over its entire duration, it's still great for general combat but not blatantly stronger than bandages like they were in DL2

It's very frustrating tbh. The gun clips into the ground or something. From what I can tell it's like 30% of the time it happens?

Unfortunately this happens in normal game at times, at least I remember things clipping into the floor. I've also lost some energy bars by dropping them and they got clipped behind a toilet

Time to get back into this.

I lost like 15 damage boosters cuz i dropped them in a bus to eat the snack and pick em back up only to realize it got clipped under the bus lol
