If you want to manually save you can sleep at a safe zone otherwise it saves automatically so you can quit whenever really

Could be things like having to fill up generators to keep the safe zones active, manually boarding them up to keep infected out when the UV are off, a thirst and sleep meter to go along with Hunger, a bleed system where you have to heal off certain types of damage or you risk bleeding out, building or using campfires to cook food for additional benefits, hunting animals for food I mean whatever really. There’s tons of ways to implement more survival mechanics and make it interesting

The act of surviving in itself is content that’ll keep people coming back along side whatever else they may add

Prologue was fine. Beginning was fine. Story dragged out too long in the middle, and died towards the end. It felt on par with how 1 felt with me pacing wise. Could’ve been better sure to some but to me too little can be improved on. Not when there’s a LOT of story like 2.

Dying light 2’s story could’ve been done with in about 5 hours of gameplay. 😭

Hell I’ve got 350+ on the beast, and it took about 63 hours to get the 100% with the addition of pubg event, COTB event, NG+ and Legend levels update that’s how I got the 350. Obviously it wasn’t straight grinding I spent time just goofing off in the open world but there’s a good bit of play time to be had.

It's sorta improved in The Beast but I still hate how virals aren't greyish because it just looks like they copied the Rage infected from 28 Days Later

Harran is “wiped off the map” while the nuke ending isn’t canon what probably happened is a series of fire bombings destroyed the city and Harran is pretty small so it wouldn’t take much. Wouldn’t be anything to go back to but ashes and rubble.

That’s also how they were able to cure the initial THV virus was by bombing Harran to stop the spread which gave them time to make a cure and then eventually start another outbreak with a variant virus

There could be a prequel set in Harran where we play as Brecken as the outbreak happens leading up the events of him getting taken out of commission

That’d make for a solid dlc

Enemies scale by about 30 levels per NG+ and caps out at NG+11 for both difficulty and XP.

The only way the game will scale to you is if you reach level 300 before NG+10 so for example if you reach level 300 on NG+2 when you start 3 instead of level 90 enemies they’ll be level 300 like you are.

All I know is when this new update comes out they usually have some bug fixes and it better fix melee finishers being triggered because it’s been broken since NG+ launch since there either isn’t enough stamina or the damage numbers are way too high that when stunned you just can’t besides beast mode finishers.

Gonna have to see if they did fix at one point but i doubt it had to make room so haven’t been able to check in a month.

Enemies max out on NG+11, I still frequently get them but it’s not consistent. If your level 300 on and on NG+10 enemies will only be 290 I believe.

So you’re less likely to get finishers, I do miss when it was consistent though. It’s not like I even do them often even on DL2 I hardly do but having the option to do it is important rather than it being a gamble

Best way to is to look up the spawns and farm them as big brother said. They aren’t nearly as good as in DL2 they’re mainly used for emergencies

Just takes some practice, you’ll never have enough to always have them at night unless you spend days farming them and even then they’re nerfed like I said, they have a smaller radius, don’t last as long an can’t be crafted so it’s just an emergency item

It works great in most games I’ve played, and it’s a fun challenge that usually comes with exclusive rewards tied to the mode which are very worth the effort. I think permadeath fits quite well into a game like DL especially The Beast and if they add even more survival mechanics even more so. I don’t really see how it wouldn’t fit and it’s not mandatory for those who aren’t skilled enough or just enjoy playing on easier difficulties.

I’m sure we will get pilgrim outpost bounties, parkour and combat challenges, agents and missions, and gre anomalies but with chimeras eventually, we may even get some of those things with this update time will tell. Just some simple stuff to help the games replay value nothing crazy.
