It’s the best grapple we’ve gotten so far both for parkour and combat. The DL1 grapple is boring and has no uses outside of being a zip line attatched to your arm so it’s convenient but boring, DL2 grapple was a huge improvement and has both combat and parkour uses. The beast is the improved version of the DL2 grapple

They did though, it now keeps its momentum allowing you to go much faster, they also changed the control for it as well so you hold it down rather than tapping it once to use and tapping it again to unhook yourself or jump. And with the more grounded gameplay the beast has it feels better to use

I play both games regularly, it’s hard not to notice the changes. If you get on DL2 and try to swing the second you unhook all your momentum you had from swinging grinds to a halt while on the beast you’ll maintain your speed allowing you to keep going faster which is nice. Along with the more grounded physics when using it and pulling enemies it looks and feels better you should hop back on 2 if you haven’t, you’ll notice the difference immediately.

Like I said it’s not an over the top change it’s just improved.

1 handed weapons are weapons that are used with one hand and you can attack faster with them and you do a decent amount of damage, 2 handed weapons are slower weapons that do more damage but it takes longer to attack and uses more stamina

There isn’t a “best” gear set they’re all good at different things, pick the one that fits you best, you can mix and match multiple pieces if you want the different benefits. If you mean which gear set offers the most protection it’s the soldier gear set, it doesn’t have any extra stat boosts but the “gear armor” is the highest

You have to max out 53 blue points in total, I’m not entirely sure which blueprints don’t count towards this( like deluxe edition stuff). But I just got every single blueprint I could including the Easter egg stuff and I got it.

Then do all of the side quests and kill infected in between for extra xp

Do everything, only play at night so you get the night time XP bonus, do all quests, safe zones, power and water stations and random encounters. Kill volatiles and infected on the way to each of your objectives but don’t try to farm them because you’ll eventually get no XP for killing them, the explorer set offers I believe a 12% XP boost, the Excalibur sword gives an extra 10% and once it breaks the one you can craft only gives 5%, there’s a charm you can put on most weapons that will give you an extra 3% XP and lastly do multiple NG+, the difficulty and XP scales every time you complete one and it caps out at NG+11

Many people don't realize that "online game privacy" is public by default.

You may be under leveled, over leveled or not matching the playstyle of the host. I’ve had to kick a few people because they’ll ruin stealth sections or go off and do their own thing. When playing co op compliment the hosts playstyle if they go quiet you go quiet, stick with them don’t hinder them. Lastly they may have a mic and are looking for someone with a mic or the opposite they don’t want people using a mic

That’s the issue, your way higher than them an your using weapons that are way higher than them so your dominating their game, they don’t want to watch you play they want to play themselves that’s why they’re on. Thats why I have multiple weapons from the various levels so I can use a weapon that closely matches their level.

Are you randomly joining people or accepting distress calls? Because if your randomly joining People they probably don’t know their game is on public so they kick you. The game automatically starts out on public so they may not know they have to change it

Everytime I join a public lobby and complete the quest it doesn’t work and wastes my time

The only issue I’ve had was the quest not progressing after killing all enemies and that’s happened 2 times out of the 20 times I’ve beaten the game, and I’ve played A LOT of co op and I’ve only had that issue happen once. We were about to complete a quest and someone joined last second and the quest didn’t progress until that person left.

I doubt many people want an “online DL” I feel if they go live service it’d be something similar to DL2 except it’ll actual keep evolving, the map would grow/ change. Time would pass in game new enemy types all the live service crap that sounds good on paper but ends up being a cash grab. I wouldn’t want an open world with a bunch of other online players parkouring around it, all hogging up the hot spots for loot and all the other nightmares that come with that formula

I’m sure Techland can make something like that work but with Daddy Tencent behind them I just don’t think it’ll go how we would want it to

No you can pull yourself up by pressing the grapple button without your beast mode, and swing by holding it

Well using the grapple in beast mode is where you reel yourself in, and using the grapple normally by just pressing the button pulls you up

Call me whatever but dl1 is still the best game of the trilogy. Dl2 grew on me a lot since 2022 and has probably become my favorite of the 3 unfortunately. The beast just needs something more in my opinion.

It might be the lack of parkour and immersion that turns me away from the beast though. In Harran and villedor you were parkouring 100% of the game. The beast is very minimal.

As i know currently all "good" methods nerfed and still if you managed to find farm spot without playing in last ng+ without good weapon stats you will get zombies with millions of hp while your weapons still do 1k at most

So it's bad idea now to rush legend level without actually finishing every lvl of ng+

A month ago it just ended its 12 week event that saw it get a ton of weapons, car skins and 2 outfits from NG+\LL/Nightmare. Also PUBG event. It got loved and it’s not done yet. Awhile back Tymon asked what people wanted to see too from the beast and 2 as well. So I think that’s Exaggeration of what you said.

Yup when we hit 20/21 goals we got everything we missed or didn’t get as long as we took part in at least one weekly challenge out of the 12 weeks. So those rewards needing to be claimed until the end of Feb are for those who haven’t gotten around to doing so. Shame. Maybe they’ll rotate onto pilgrim outpost one day.

Positive is cutscene wise the hood comes off but combat wise no toggle to hide it sadly. Cool outfit in the end.
