Plenty of people still playing the game across all platforms, people just think the games are live services and they’re not. We got what was advertised if they didn’t add anything else it’d be fine. People wanting more more more is exactly why the next game is shaping up to be a live service which will most likely end horribly

They told us it’d be short and sweet, they never said it was the next big thing, that’s what the next game will most likely be.

I want more as much as the next person but I know things take time and that they don’t have to do it, the game is fine how it is. Techland is one of the very few devs doing post launch content and consistent updates

Story and side quests will give you the most XP, safe zones, power and water stations and random encounters will give you a decent amount of XP as well. Lastly XP scales up to NG+11 so you’ll get more XP for everything you do each time you complete a NG+

However if anyone can pull off a live service it would be Techland, I just have very little faith in live services, more fail than succeed and I wouldn’t want them to put all their eggs into one basket and if the game does fail it could kill the series

Best way to farm snacks is buying them from the vendors on any difficulty under nightmare, it’s good to buy out all the resources as well especially batteries your gonna need it.

Otherwise bags, backpacks, food trucks, fridges and apartment buildings will have the most food

Because it’s the hardest difficulty, and a good way to increase the challenge is by giving us a hunger bar and batteries for our flashlight. I’m sure we will see it come to other difficulties in the future if enough people ask for it, I love the survival mechanics and id like to see them become a staple for the series going forward

Juggling food and batteries is a great way to introduce new challenges. You may not like them and that’s fine, just play on any difficulty other than nightmare.

I started a nightmare run this morning, and I’m already up to buried truths, it hasn’t really made it harder imo

For a lot of people yes, for me specifically? No I’m a loot goblin and I bulked up on food and batteries in preparation for the update. I’m active in the server pretty often and there’s constantly people asking for help getting food and batteries so clearly there’s a challenge. It also adds depth to the gameplay, you have to keep an eye on your hunger or else it can slowly kill you and decrease you stamina as well as having to get the food itself, same with batteries, if you aren’t watching your battery level and it’s nighttime you could easily run out of batteries and not have extra to replace it or be in a situation where you can’t actively change batteries because your in an encounter.

Regardless The Beast Nightmare difficulty is the hardest and most unique difficulty they’ve added yet and that was techlands goal, which they achieved.

There was a patch bug fix stuff after nightmare. Right now though there is a rare crash/freeze that’s going on. Softlocking can somewhat still happen from what I saw from people I saw play. It’s a bit buggy still from my experience. Visual bugs are also still there since launch lmao

Look devide the whole map into different sections and mark the each subregions and that's how you can find secrets blueprints weapon mods collectibles and charms it's in the farmlands there are 3 pipes and there is a goon splitters and viral coming at you there is a car with a driver inside and radio is calling for him but well he is dead

And from there clear the area and interact with the car small marker appear in your map so next time you'll find it if you were doing something else

For one a majority of the DL player base are single player types so they won’t play it even if they made it, secondly a game mode like BTZ will NEVER work, it didn’t work the first time either, not only did Techland not properly moderate it but but they type of players who did play it killed the game themselves even faster. 80% of them are cheaters and the other 20% are absolutely sweats so the game mode has such a high skill ceiling that the average joe can’t get into it without puttin 100s of hours in which most will not do. The only way they can make a PvP and it be semi successful is if it’s similar to L4D with survivors vs infected with set classes and if they moderate it properly it’ll keep the cheaters out.

It’s a story game, and like most story games after you beat them they’re done. Techland is one of the few devs that actually add post launch content. The game released compete, then they added NG+ and a nightmare update the game is fine.

It’s not lacking anything, we got exactly what was advertised, if you bought the game thinking it was the next big thing that’s on you. They specifically said the game would be smaller before it even released. Tymon has asked for feedback on what we’d like to see and there’s been surveys so obviously they’re planning to do more but they don’t have to they’re doing it because they want to.

I’d much rather them take their time and give us quality updates than to pump out slop every month, you can easily play a different game until more updates come.

DL2 still has a year of support left as well, so they’re probably focusing on getting that out of the way while working on The Beast so it’s gonna take time, they’ve came through before and they’ll do it again.
