Honestly despite it being a charger reskin, it was actually a new and unique infected in my eyes with the reaper-ish blade it has on its hands with that type of standoff set it has. Other than that, every other chimera bosses are nothing new despite new movesets. Shame though. I’m sad it’s only 1 in the entire game I think until new game plus if I’m mistaken? lol

When helping someone with the final mission, after it ends you can start a New Game+ (for example, if you’re on NG+1, you can start NG+2).
You can’t leave the session after defeating the boss. After the credits, this popped up for me, but I didn’t check whether it actually works. It did show me the recommended level I should have. I don’t know if Techland blocks it somehow when you click “yes,” or if you can start New Game+ without finishing the previous one. I think it also only works if you’ve completed the story at least once

Kinda weird — the game asked me if I wanted to start NG+2 even though I hadn’t even finished NG+1. I was helping a random in the final mission, stayed until the end, and after the credits it let me either keep playing or go straight into NG+2.

Maybe Techland will fix it someday and make the game automatically kick you out of the session right after the final cutscene

Yeah it’s different from DL2 where you will scale to who you join, I prefer that method. All too often do I see level 300s join people on their first playthrough and start one shotting everything and then I get kicked because of them, luckily I kept a bunch of weapons from the various levels so I can use a weapon to match whoever I join

The DL1 Old Town is also pretty good

It feels like a lot of places I've been before

The Beast's map, despite presumably being in Switzerland or somewhere near, doesn't feel European enough

I love how all the dying light games are different and good in their own way. Techland is not the biggest studio but they have always been one of my fav companys, except the customer support ofc. But since ive been 14 and first touched dying light i never stopped playing.

I agree, they all offer a unique and fun experience. I fell in love with Techland when they made Dead Island 1, and when DL1 came out they blew my socks off I was addicted. DL2 re sparked my love for the series and has held me over til The Beast which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed

They make really good open world zombie games

Their story telling isn’t Top tier but it compliments the gameplay very well and it’s good enough to be interesting. I’d love for the next game to have some crazy writing similar to TLOU part 1 quality.

The XP and difficulty scales per NG+ capping out at NG+11

It’s been awhile but I believe on NG+11 you’ll be getting 250k+ XP per quest

I’m not sure the exact amount, I maxed out 2 days after the update and reached NG+4 so I wasn’t getting XP anymore but before the XP nerf we were still able to see how much XP the quest would give in the journal or whatever it’s called

I think that’s fine, if they lower it you’d have to do even more NG+ which is a bit too much. I personally have done 13 but not everyone will. You should be max by NG+10-11

Well the only way to level up is by grinding you just can’t farm it anymore which is a good thing. I think people should level normally, sitting in one spot farming infected shouldn’t be a viable way to level imo

Starting fresh on nightmare ain’t so bad. Also as you level and free roam a bit it will be much easily tame to complete missions until vengeance is mine where enemy scaling might be a little more challenging but it isn’t hard. Feels close to brutal difficulty if I’m being honest lol

As much as I hate to say that you are right. That’s still basically their fault for rushing the game and or not knowing convenient spots to loot. Food and batteries aren’t hard to find actually. Lots of areas are static spawns.
