and experiencing the game solo is better for sure. The teleporting feature makes sense for co op but is not as immersive

I hate the teleport feature, it’s a good feature it just gets used improperly making it annoying. I hate when people teleport you around especially if they aren’t the host and then sometimes you’ll be right behind them and they’ll still teleport which makes the process even longer because now we’ve gotta wait the count down. It should be used when someone is refusing to go to the objective or if someone asks to be teleported but they can just teleport themselves

I leave my game on open but I turn off players ability to use teleport, I’ve had people teleport me in my own game and it drives me insane. Or when the host is on there first playthrough and is taking their time and someone teleports them being inpatient even tho it’s not their game it’s like come on

Probably a couple updates nothing to crazy, I can see them adding a couple new side quest, bounties and vendors to go along with them, some more random encounters and some of them unique to nighttime, potentially a game mode similar to Tower Raid from DL2 but with The Barons castle and labs, new weapons and armor things like that

I’m sure we will get some kind of roadmap within the next few weeks or so.

The game was always advertised as a smaller package so it’s probably not going to get the same amount of content 1-2 got, it’s meant to be short and sweet. But I can see them adding some more things to do so people have things to replay and work towards LL300. If I had to guess I’d say we will get a year of support maybe 2 if they feel like it, otherwise once your done it’s back to waiting for the next game or playing the older games.

You really should start off on a normal difficulty first before going nightmare so you can prepare. Both in food and resources, as well as map knowledge.

Having permanent suppressors isn’t the way to go, make them temporary and craftable. They should only last 1-3 shots depending on how much the blueprint is upgraded and it should cost a good bit of resources. Adds more depth to the gameplay and gives us another thing to craft. For the top armors I use in between are - Bruiser/Soldier/Merc sets for flat mitigation damage reduction and or bonuses that they offer. Merc’s headstrike damage is oddly less effective than soldier’s for gun damage.

The other armors are meh. I mean I forgot which offers melee damage and Stam reduction but that one ain’t too shabby.

Rogue is interesting for takedowns from what I’ve seen. But makes you squishy as most armors. *Forgot to mention recognition time kinda makes you more visible apparently or doesn’t do anything? (Bugged perhaps I dunno)

XP and difficulty scales per NG+ capping out at NG+11
If you reach Level 300 before NG+10 the game will automatically scale to your level so if your Level 300 just starting NG+ 2 all your enemies will also be Level 300 instead of level 60 like they normally would

The explorer armor set also gives an XP boost but I think it’s still bugged, The Excalibur sword gives an extra 10% XP and once it breaks the one you can craft only gives 5%
There’s also a charm that can put on most weapons that will give an additional 3% XP

Not sure what all is still bugged though I’ve been maxed for awhile

It’s exactly how it sounds, it’s the alpha of the Volatiles in Castor woods similar to how the Tyrant is in DL2. The alpha is stronger and has more health than regular volatiles and is constantly stalking you once you go out at night. So any time you go out it will slowly make its way to you, if you stay in one area too long it’ll find you and attack you while starting a chase.

I believe it’s more resistant to UV as well but I’m not sure, it’s main gimmick is that it stalks you

Similar to how Nemesis follows Jill throughout the game in RE3, there’s only one Alpha per night

Yes, when it says recommended level it’s because that’s what level you should be in terms of health and damage

You can look at the map and hover over the different areas on the map and you’ll see what level each area is and whatever level the area is, is what level the infected are same with quests. If it’s a level 15 quest that means the infected are level 15 so they do more damage and have more health.

It is totally immune to UV from flashlights, but UV bars/flares affect it. It will rarely try to flee, though, which means u can smack the hell out of it without being jumped by other volatiles

Tbh none of the dl games keep me interested anymore since dl1 at least with the be the zombie there was more replayability imo. I just get bored of them faster now, story is done not much else. Then barely any content for this game except a random trash weapon and a vehicle skin periodically. And for some reason they got rid of the knife animations they had in dl2, and I know people might say well it’s crane not Adin but still the dumb slicing is just boring and that’s all I can think of at the moment but don’t mistake what I said for being rude it’s just how I see the game now and what little content we have now

And I know they added the harder mode too but replaying the story doesn’t do it enough imo at least for me. It’s just lacking and Idk what it is but I love these games just not as much since the first. The parkour is way better then dl1 which is great just need more to the game. BTZ was never a success, the DL playerbase is full of single player types. That’s why co op is still around and PvP isn’t. There’s a small hardcore BTZ community but the average player doesn’t care for it and probably never will. Same reason Bad blood was dead on arrival. BTZ is full to the brim of stinky sweats and full blown cheaters it’s also not new player friendly so it was never going to hold a playerbase. Techland also poorly moderated it further killing th game mode. The Beast was advertised as a smaller package and that’s what we got. Everything they said we’d get we’ve gotten so if you expecting anything more that’s on you rather than them. If you’re looking for Replay ability DL2 is for you. It has plenty of things to do you can easily sink hundreds of hours into the game before getting bored

And The Beast suffers from the same problem all of the DL games suffered from which is “lack” of content but it’s not really true because it’s a story game. The extra 300 legend levels and NG+ are for the players who stick around and play the game long term which isn’t most people. And Techland has been taking in feedback so we will potentially see more content in the future which is rare, most game devs don’t keep supporting their story games after launch unless it’s a DLC

If I had to guess we will get a year maybe 2 of support. And they’ll probably add more things to do and replay as time goes on.
