If you use weapons that are slightly lower than the enemies you can consistently get them. You can still get them with level 300 weapons it’s just not as often because they do so much damage.

Wear the Rogue set, and remove any Legend skills that boost melee weapon damage. I'm currently having them happen pretty consistently, but I had to get to post-story stuff for maximum scaling.

You didnt keep any of your weapons from before getting max ? I kept a couple weapons from the various levels as I leveled up to use during co op so I can use a weapon to match whoever I join otherwise I’d one shot everything in their game and ruin their experience. But if you only play solo then yeah I guess you don’t need lower level weapons.

Interesting! I’ll have to try that when I get home. I’m still getting finishers every once in awhile with level 300 weapons it’s just not consistent at all, I normally use level 290 weapons and I can get them quite often.

It currently takes me anywhere between 1 heavy attack, 1 heavy + light, and sometimes 1 heavy + kick to cause a stamina break depending on the biter type

They really should make your weapons scale down like they do on DL2 when you join someone lower than you. They’ll still be stronger because of your legend skills but the weapons base damage is closer to who you join making it actually playable. I play co op a lot and I often see other level 300s join people on their first play through and dominate their game and then get kicked for doing it, sometimes I’ll get kicked just because they did it.

Currently for me it goes:
Bats: 1 Heavy to the arm (not 100% consistent for all biter types, sometimes they take 1 Heavy + 1 kick, or 1 heavy + 1 light.
1H: 1 Heavy + 1 Light (if you chop an arm with the Light it'll overwrite the stamina break)
Sabers: 1 Heavy to the head (not 100% consistent)

for some strange reason, Sabers can stamina break more consistently with 1 Light to the head, followed by 1 Heavy to the head. 1 Heavy into 1 Light seems to do more damage, because it decaps biters instead

overall the game still needs some adjustments to balance Legend stuff. Nightmare feels like an absolute joke until the final scaling event, which is where it finally starts to feel good

DL1 didn't have this problem at all. Even with all of the damage legend skills leveled first, DL1 biters had the perfect amount of health, usually taking 1 light attack only if you had damage built up from the Focus skill, but 4-5 Lights for the tankier biters

but TB biters just melt with 0 investment into the legend skills, as long as you upgrade your weapons to match your level

Brutal should still give a decent amount of XP, on Ng+4 and nightmare mode every mission gave me about 2 levels on completion and I was around lv 190.
In game if you go to the legend level tab and hover over your level you should see the multiplier for you difficulty.

Dl1 combat, The camera angles/ camera movement is very aggresive and satisfying, which makes the attack swings feel more strong, and in dl1 you can kick while jumping, The kicking in dl1 is faster, The jump attack in dl1 is faster, for attacks, the dodges feel more better because of the hand movements crane does in dl1, also the attack swings are faster in dl1 for all melee weapons

Not sure, you should be able to from the pilgrim outpost website. But th rewards are bugged right now for some people, as long as you contributed to at least one of the 22 challenges you’ll eventually get all rewards once they fix it

Yeah your not the only one, I assume they’ll do a hotfix soon and fix it with an update but worse case scenario they’ll eventually get to your support ticket and get it figured out for you. Just may take some time but you’ll get them for sure

I fortunately got everything, but I think it’s because I wasn’t missing anything but the outfit and the 2 rewards from the challenges we failed. So as soon as I started up my game I had what I was missing, I think the people who are missing the rewards are the ones who were missing a couple of weeks worth of the challenges

Yeah that’s what I think too, I mean DL2 already has a good bit of stuff that was originally made for the beast in it. And since they put it into DL2 they cut a lot of stuff that would’ve been in the beast so the games don’t feel copy and pasted.

I love DL2 and still play it to this day but it’s had more than enough updates. If they stopped right now the game would be perfectly fine. The one update I would like to see and think the game would benefit from is a graphics overhaul, if they made the game look closer to The beast as a final update I think that would be really cool.

Fighting one of the Baron’s men 1v1 is like bashing your fingers with a meat tenderizer, I could not be assed to do it no longer

I usually just shoot them, otherwise I use a mix of attacks like grappling them to a stomp, parry them to either attack or drop kick, throwables always work, straight up drop kicks do the trick as well. I also recently found out you can parry them and leap over them into a drop kick like you could on DL2 it’s just a lot more grounded which is a good thing.

But for the most part gun goes boom 💥

If you've run out of missions (Story/side) then, Activities mostly provide XP, after that, NG+ runs so you can redo the missions and gain more XP.

No, but it would be ineffective. Since you're better off getting the guns yourself, especially since you can get legit the best guns via legend levels for the iconic variant of every gun (except for marksman).

None of the weapons feel like they do any damage to the enemies, for example I swing a massive baseball bat at them and they don't flinch, in fact none of the weapons seem to make the enemies stumble they just walk towards you grabbing (too grabby) I wonder if techland will address this like they did in DL2. Most of my weapons and upgrades I use are maxed out but I barely seeing a difference in damage to anything I pick up during my run, yet I've been in other people's games where they killing a chimera in ONE hit?!

That’ll be with legend levels stuff. I’m pretty sure before nightmare mode came out, new game plus wouldn’t increase in difficulty related to your legend level. So you get to LL300 and the enemies will still be at level 15 max, before legend levels

So I’m guessing if they got to LL300 they haven’t gone to new game plus yet I think
