All the guns that are in The Beast are currently in DL2 except the revolver an marksmen. Hell the revolver might be in the game in a bundle or something but i dont know. They don’t have much longer for their 5 year promise so i dont imagine DL2 will get anymore big updates but maybe.

It’s a single player game, when you finish the game it’s done so you either replay it or or move on to a new game, Techland is one of the few devs that actually add post launch content. The game hasn’t been out long and we’ve gotten decent updates since release now they’re able to focus on giving us more content. They’re working on both DL2 and TB at the same time. They can’t just snap their fingers and make it happen it takes time.

And yes you can finish it in 20 hours but you can also get more than 60 out of it just depends on how you play. At the end of the day it’s an open world Zombie game, you can run around, loot , explore, and kill infected for hours on end and still have fun, you can also play co op and help people out on their journey. You can make your own fun and it’s been that way since Dead island and DL1. If you need constant updates and content to have fun it’s time to play another game and there’s plenty of games out there to choose from.

Yeah, there’s a couple people missing their rewards as well, the distribution process starts when you log in an can take 24 hours to show up, you can try to restart your game and see if it’ll show up. If it’s been over 24 hours you may need to submit a support ticket, but keep in mind it may take some time for them to get back to you. As long as you’ve contributed to at least one of the 22 challenges you’ll receive all rewards it just might take some time for them to get them out to the people who are missing them.

Does it matter at the end of the day? No that’s just how he likes to play an I can respect that. Some people like the grind and enjoy playing the game while others want to fast tract and goof around for a bit. Everyone’s different, I fall into the grinder category myself. It’s much more rewarding to me when you put the time in to earn it.

Yeah I’m lookin forward to what’s to come. And I agree they really should develop the alpha a bit more because right now it’s basically a regular volatile that’s black and orange and it can stalk you. They should definitely adjust its behavior, remove the question mark when it’s close to you as well so you have to keep your eyes peeled and ears open otherwise you won’t see it coming. Anytime it’s close to you the question mark instantly gives it away and makes the encounter feel disappointing rather than scary or hard. They should also boost its health a damage unless they plan to add Tyrant volatiles. Either way the alpha could use some touch ups for sure

They took inspiration from Nemisis and The Alien I’m pretty sure so they really should make it feel like it’s a real deal threat. It should be this constant danger everytime you go out at night. Make it incredibly hard to kill and make it hit hard so it’s best to stay away from it as you would Nemisis. And then boost the rewards for killing it so if you manage to pull it off you’re properly rewarded. There’s only one per night so it should be absolutely lethal imo

After finally fixing my achievement glitch on DL1 I started again for the third time xD not many games I can do that on and still love it

The intro goes so hard I don't even mind

But if anyone resets their achievements (you can use steams own console for this you don't need any dodgy third party things) and has the problem I did where some achievements just didn't trigger, delete your saves and then disable steam cloud, then start a fresh game. Then you're golden. You can always put it back on but I do find it causes issues sometimes

The armor rating is adjusted according to your level. Only the value does not change

Armor is probably calculated by a certain % of your total health

Since the armor cannot be level upgraded manually, it makes sense that it does so automatically. Otherwise, you would have to manually upgrade it in the same way as with weapons.

The grabs are fine, my issue is how they can spam grab you, there’s no cool down for it. A biter can grab you and the second you get out before you can even finish the quick escape you get grabbed again. I’ve been grabbed 4 times in a row and then knocked out of a grab by a volatile pounce.

I like the idea of having 2 protagonists next game at different times.
1 can be a new person, set in the past just as things are going to hell not shortly after like 1 or long after like 2 or the beast. That way you can focus more on horror and stealth for that person and them having to learn parkour makes sense.
and then you have a 2nd char in the current time/after the beast(probably crane tbh) who can do all the crazy action stuff and doesnt need to relearn things and whose gameplay is more combat and bombastic.
and choices made in the past could affect the playable area in the future

I think most peiple when it comes to zombie media in general are always more interested in the time frame of the fall/AS things are going to hell anyway

Really? They must have changed it because before enemy NPCs barely did any damage to each other, I’ve sat there and watched bandits have a shootout with barons men and it lasted over 10 minutes before I got tired of watching and killed them, same when I was watching one single soldier fight a demolisher and a bunch of virals the fight just wouldn’t end. Compared to DL2 where you’d see NPCs fighting and killing each other all the time I hope they make it more like that.

When enemies aren’t killing each other it kills immersion and makes the game feel emptier. Because you’re the only one actually fighting and killing. There’s already a lack of friendly NPCs in the game to begin with they’re all locked into safe zones other than random encounters

I’ve been replaying it recently and haven’t really had that happen, they must have fixed that. All hell breaks looks when I’m fighting humans and infected get involved.

You can also just watch the fights and see who comes out on top or if it’s friendlys you can jump in and save them. We need that in the beast imo

It’s not fixed, I’ve sat and spent countless minutes watching them fight and it never ends. You can get on right now and see it.

I’ve seen one solider swarmed by at least 11 infected absolutely jumping the hell out of him blood was everywhere and it never ended, so many examples I could give because I pay attention to that kinda of stuff. Especially after putting in 350+ hours.

We had the pubg collab event, call of the beast event, NG+ an LL update and lastly the Nightmare update which added a new difficulty with some slight survival mechanics like Hunger bar and battery life for your flash light. Also they added an alpha volatile that stalks you on Nightmare 👍🏽

As I am going up in legend levels I am realizing exactly how bad these developers have failed with the xp nerf. The extreme adjustment was an inept level decision.

Btw if you want a little xp boost since the xp armor doesn’t work just switch to nightmare difficulty right before the quest completes and you get the extra xp from nightmare difficulty. Still not as much as the armor would be but that is one way to fix their horrible mistake

Yeah. Same thing with safe spots. Just climb up but switch before you turn it on and then just go back to story mode. Story mode makes for easy quest completion and switching to nightmare difficulty at the end gives you the experience you deserve

If your on NG+11 or higher and you use weapons the are LL250-290 you can still get finishers pretty often which is nice. I’ve gotten a few with LL300 weapons but it’s not as often since they do so much damage to regular enemies

also i wonder what a changed man would sound like in the style of run jump fight. cause I relistening and honestly the orchestral style of dl2 is great but I always felt the electronic side was super weak. Then suddenly we get the beast which has a more toned back style focused on grit. Neither is better rhan the other but both got such style

like I said before one theme of Olivier’s work is he tends to always use motiffs from the game’s main theme in most if not all of the rest of the score. This isn’t a negative either as it makes his work stand out in theming from dl1’s ost. But I honestly hate the ost releases of dl2 cause they barely even scratch how deep the ost’s are. Like the tower raid got a rushed ost release and the revamped music never got released 😠 hence why I’m glad mostly 90% of the beast’s music is on the ost, except the one choir que from the cutscenes when Crane ||injects himself with chimera blood.|| which is a shame cause hearing a choir do the chords of a changed man sounds so fucking COOOL

weirdly my favorite track from silent hill is room of angels. Its first usage in sh4 was the one time I bawled at a silent hill game.

But a changed man is honestly my favorite main theme in the whole series. Dl1’s is iconic in the community. and 2’s is good but I love how it acoustically sounds and it goes so fucking hard

the remake so far is really fucking good. Even by Blooper Team standards. but back to the beast, I honestly would love if they retooled windmill to have more consistent hit detection and to maybe lower the stamina cost on 2 handed windmill. it shouldn’t take 2 of them to drain your stamina, it should be three.

but also retool camo so it doesn’t break you out of stealth when camo.
