It may feel that way because they changed the XP you get from killing infected so people don’t exploit volatiles to max out. They kinda went overboard though, you can still max out very quickly though you just have to put in the work. Grotto just started from scratch today and I’m betting he will max out in just a few days tops.

I maxed out during double XP weekend and got up to NG+4 by the time i got to LL300.

Hell yeah, if you like DL2 you’ll like The Beast, my first playthrough took about 63 hours that’s with getting the 100% and all Easter eggs and what not, I also took my time enjoying it. You can easily get 60 hours out of the game and if you go by $1 per hour you’ll get your moneys worth

There's a Clause in the about questions on DL Outpost Call of the Beast page. That says if 20/22 rewards are successful completed. Any player who participated at any point will receive all rewards.
(We're currently at 18/20)

My hope for a 3rd installment in the series is that they take the zombie apocalype to the next level and introduce more elements to gameplay that isn't strictly related to zombies and their different mutations.
DL2 aimed really well at the mushroom portion early on to postpone the infection, they should build on that and make you feel like you're fighting for your life, because that would also ensure incentive to keep playing.
Right now Nightmare does the interesting part of making sure you're always in need of food for example, that mechanic alone needs to be expanded on for a future title.

The way I figured, story missions give you a ton of XP + Large legendary caches, and each NG gives you an xp bonus

If you are in the town hall, and you want to restock the trader, you can get out of the building through the main gate, and run straight up until you reach the stairs with circular part in the middle. Get to that part, and run back

Yay, I finally got the knife! But… how do you actually make these things useful?
Knives and knuckledusters feel pretty underwhelming without mods.

And since they have fewer mod options, they don’t get the durability boosts other weapons do. So the weapons that already need more hits just end up breaking even faster.

But they’d be pretty limited to enemies with guns or arrows so I don’t see them working well overall with limited uses. Flashes can be used on everything but work best on humans and volatiles

I hardly use them but yeah it’ll stun them for a couple seconds. It’s good when you got a group of them on you. Good way to create some space and you can throw it at your feet while running and it’ll blow behind you.
