You can kill a volatile no problem, but it needs to be a one-to-one fight or else it's likely you will die for sure

Once you get the hang of their moveset it's fairly simple to dodge their attacks imo

Chases are called chases cuz you aren't meant to fight, but rather run away. Killing volatiles is more often done in special locations where there's only one patrolling like the ENF factory, the salt mines, or the mental asylum

Yup, won’t catch me doing that. So far they’re the only person I’ve seen doing it but i remember seeing them the other day and they had joined me again today, I’m assuming the get booted a lot. The game scales with each person so not only are you dead weight but your making it harder on the other person 👎🏽

Both flamethrower kills and beast mode kills. Beast mode kills comes naturally as you play so it’s not something you even have to try for and for the flamethrower you can just run around old town and flame on, takes 5-10 min tops

Rags are the second most common resource, I’d recommend full upgrading them as you go and if your running low just spend an hour looting and you’ll have plenty. Make sure to loot every dead body and hit all the dark zones in Old town you can get your flamethrower kills as you go or beast kills when it accumulates

You’ll find those as you loot the dark zones, there’s usually one in every small dark zone and sometimes 2 in the bigger ones. And the dark zones have an extremely fast refresh rate so you can loot one and then run to the nearest dark zone, loot that up and the run back to the first one again and the loot will have respawned same with the Manuals. Just takes a little bit of time. If your never stopping to loot your always gonna be strapped for resources. It’s best to loot on your way to every quest and instead of going over or Around buildings go through them and loot them up. Same with going out of your way to grab loot it’s always good to dedicate time simply to looting. I’m a loot goblin and always have been for every DL game it’s one of my favorite parts about the game lol 😅

More of a consumable item, but the last hand of glova is also really good. It's cheap to make and kills like all the zombies in the area around you, so it's solid for gaining XP with hordes

Not that I know of. There were methods by farming volatiles, but they completely reworked XP gain in update 1.5. Once you kill like I think more than 3 volatiles in quick succession, you slowly gain less and less XP each kill until it hits 0. Best method is just doing story quests as quick as possible
