im still hoping techland invests in some physics based animation solutions for zombies in future games

there has been some incredibly advancements on that front recently that make euphoria physics from rockstar games look ancient

thats what we need for a next gen zombie game experience as a minimum. cant keep doing canned animations like this and keep players interested for long term

imagine a future dying light game where every single movement of every zombie is becuase the zombie directly controlled their virtual muscles to move their limbs

working with the physics engine to actually move literally, being able to trip on irregular surfaces, or dynamically climb over or under objects without having to script the ability

it isnt anymore, and the cost will just get lower over time

by next gen consoles, this will be quite easy

and honestly as a vr game enthusiast, you basically have to use this approach going forward becuase when the player has direct control over their phsyical body, you just cant rely on canned animations to be able to interact in a believable way with the player

all those animations require the player to do specific movements so that they blend together, like every grapple animation ever created lol

so in summary, i hope the developers are looking into this tech at the very least

this is what its gonna take to grab gamers attention and stand out from the pack, becuase as graphics get better, they are gonna start to look even more "samey"

becuase the average player wont even be able to spot the technical improvements like they used to be able to.

There'a one thing I am really dissapointed about with Beast (and DL 2 aswell) is that there are no Night Walkers. It wasn't just Volatiles that made night time terrifying, and the Biters roaring to alert the Volatiles when they get their ass kicked.

also so annoying when any game has a rope of some sort, be it one you use to swing with or even the lasso in red dead 2, if it doesnt collide with the enviroment, it pisses me off severly lol

for whatever reason, red dead 2 seems to be one of the only games that has ever gotten ropes to work correctly

even this game still has the issue of the damn electrical cables getting literally attatched to the geometry

im assuming they didnt even try to fix it

it literally ruins entire attempts at solving those puzzles becuase it gets so easily hung on things it has no buisness getting hung on

honestly it would have been alot more fun if they fixxed that, and even incoperated it into the puzzle by having the player use it like a makeshift pully system

add the ability for the player to "pull" on it as well, and then you have the ability to climb if its vertical or even pull things towards you with it, if the player cant pull it towards them, the player then climbs the rope

boom now you can climb up an down and also pull things towards you all with one button

mabye im just old enough to remember the days when games actually improved on their previous games drastically

Not true, I maxed out day 2 of double XP and I got up to NG+4, I can beat the entire game in 3 hours flat by speed running it and each NG+ you get more and more XP. I don’t think you realize just how broken double XP was.

I just mean theres no “meta” in this game, for the most part you use what fits you best and what you like. Sure theres thing you can do to maximize your weapons but its not drastic, any and every weapon can be the “best” if you mod. For example the iconic crowbar can be considered the “best” because it’s the highest dps 1h melee weapon but you can use any other weapon and mod it and get the same effect.
