I think I'm going to try this, maybe on my last + run to 300.
I think the people that complain it's too easy just run through, minimal fighting.
I always stop to whack-a-mole lol every time I pass a group of infected. Just because it's fun to me.
I was on a brutal run when the nightmare mode updated, after the update, I could 1-2 shot kill boss fights. That shouldn't happen. Even regular infected could 2 hits kill me with Heavy armor on. Nightmare mode felt better, balanced, but I'm only at 150.
I'm hoping the Vanguard set is more durable because I love getting in the middle of a bunch of infected for a good fight.

I don't know how that would even be fun. I do think that once players get into LLs, they could 1 -2 shot kill regular infected. They're supposed to be the weakest of the bunch. But boss fights, nothing should be able to one shot a boss fight. I remember my very first playthrough, getting to the Aiden and then the Baron fight. I thought, hell yeah, now this is a fight! I died, well, I lost count how many times but that was the most fun I had during the entire playthrough.

Can you choose the difficulty tho? I havent even reach LL yet so I dont know much. I would hate if in the same difficulty you get weaker the more you level up. You are suppose to get stronger and if you want more challenge then you increase the difficluty, but some games actually do that lol.

With this new update I believe a set scaling happens after you reach 300 in your first playthrough or to the bare minimum. After that then new game plus games completed up to 10 cranks up the difficulty on top of that obviously.

Depends on your skill level, I did it in 2 days and Grotto did it in one but that was because double XP, normally though you can probably manage to do it in about a week if you grind for it. But if your going about it casually maybe a month or so depending on how long you play

Yeah they’ve dropped the ball with a lot of the challenges. They set the goals too high and they’re miscounting, hell I don’t even know how they’re counting but I know it can’t be right because we failed the crafting challenge and I just don’t see how. These rewards are also pretty mid overall there’s only been a couple that I actually like. Most of them are just copy and pasted skins of what we already have. I just want to be able to get the legendary reward at very least but I don’t think we will be able to do that either.

They also are very vague and lack communication in general itd be nice to know exactly what counts for some of these challenges and how they’re counting them.

They shouldn’t completely nerf if but you shouldn’t get more xp by farming volatiles than progressing normally by completing the game. People who blast their way to LL300 end up not playing the game again anyways so there’s really no point in them doing that.
