Everyone saying it does make a difference, I don’t see how. It doesn’t make resources spawn more, it doesn’t make them spawn in high quantities per pick up. When it says uncommon resources I assume it means rare resources and there is zero difference there too

I have a feeling the scavenger set is just a placebo and it doesn’t actually do anything

If you still want them, you can get their blueprints and such, but you may have to ask someone to help you as others are the only way to get them outside of their limited events.

It does make it where more items spawn per pickup, but usually you need the full set to see a sizable difference. If you want a bigger difference, you can also use more than just the set.

The occasional oddly high amount of scrap or wiring or cans here or there but that even happens without any of those bonuses

And again, no difference in rare resource pick ups. i’ve never picked up an oxidizer for example and gotten more than one from it

I am fully convinced that the scavenger set just doesn’t work

Could be just straight up bad luck, but the biggest difference I found is that instead of a 50/50 of any corpse having an item on my end, it went up to nearly 95%

hives will drop grenade launcher ammo and uv bars but never fuel or saw blade launcher ammo so hoping they start putting in grenade launcher ammo in baron men boxes, convoys and fuel ammo. Saw blade ammo rarely in stores or places that make sense. I don't make anything but fuel ammo since the ammo for everything else is stingy

Pretty sure the volatiles just ended up hearing you killing them more often in DL1 as opposed to the newer games.

Nope and I'm happy with the change. Makes you use other weapons. (Weapons with BP's are fine to make and mats for them reasonable when you loot a lot like me so plus stats are simplified so you don't gotta worry about min maxing them like 2 to where you'd want to keep them) plus I can be out longer with 7/7 limited weapon uses for legendary and actually play in the open world longer. Personally couldn't stand how DL2 worked with it and how Aiden couldn't repair his own weapons. So on nightmare it was always expensive to repair and I had to force myself to travel to the repair vendors just to fork over 20k for it to only last one time fully each repair. Only thing that could suck is vendor legendary weapons the reseting method can be boring to do if you liked a certain weapon, but there is plenty of good weapons that you can just keep repairing over and over then remake them.

I want them to bring them back. Also can go scavenge for NPCs and then bring back what they wanted for a reward, or guard them in encounters. Can also defend NPCS when they're looting stuff they need or help them set up a base/clear out a place. So they can be rare encounters or missions that arent super grindy like Jai.

I'd also like how like far cry 4 I was playing recently that they should add encounters to where you help fight the bad side with rebel NPC's so it would be cool to help them fight off the baron men or raiders in random cross fire battles for rewards.

the only weapons that don't have blueprints are ones that vendors sell ones you find from blueprints can be crafted over and over so they're easy to make last longer with legendary have 7/7 repairs and the stats are simple unlike 2. So if you have a favorite craft able weapon you can stay out in the world way longer then 2 (i play on nightmare so the repairs are expensive and break often) so its a good system this time since you don't gotta throw away a weapon with king mods in 1 to which you'd have to rely on the rare encounter for them to fix it back up. Since most of them didn't have blueprints in that game too so I relied on rushing old town to beat the museum mission for them to show up lol

but I just don't like currently having to run all the outside to the fountain down the stairs infront of old town and then back in to see a certain weapon I know I can't craft to even show up in the vendor thus we call it the vendor reset in the beast lol

Yeah I think mixing the Jai stuff but in bounties or encounters could be fun (just not grindy) or helping save npcs at night or clearing out night locations. 7 days to die can be fun bounty wise because you gotta clear out points of interests or find the loot for the bounty. I just think helping NPC's in random encounters of fighting baron men/raiders could be really fun even if its a 3way battle.

You just have to rush through dark zones in general every manual can spawn at any rarity depending on player level

There's like 10 dark zones in old town you can just cycle through. Rush in kill anything that gets in the way, grab the books and rush to the next spot

Most of the dark zones, I usually try to clear in about a minute or so

The apartments probably have the most manuals. 1 of them has like 4 manual spawn locations

DL1 had the best, I haven't played DL2 in years so IDK how they are now but they were a little too easy when I played around launch

But yeah I agree they should be extremely difficult at early levels. But when I'm maxed out I shouldn't be struggling to fight them. The whole point is that as you level up enemies in the game become easier, that's how all games do it. The whole idea is that you are increasing your skills.

Volatiles in TB are mainly good for MRE rations to sell, $$, and I think they rarely drop medkits too
