I've been playing on Survival mode, but sometimes I've gotten into a situation where it's a handful of biters that surround me and repeated hits will literally take me from full health to almost red in seconds.

I'm not saying there's not been situations where I just wasn't paying attention, there definitely have been. Just that there's situations where it's unavoidable and the damage doesn't seem to make sense given that I'm at max level and have pretty decent armor.

The scaling I guess just feels off for me. Like I get earlier on/lower levels being more difficult, but it feels weird that in post-game it's still taking lots of hits to kill enemies and whatnot. Gonna try playing on Story difficulty for a bit and see how that plays

like that the loot in them didn't respawn, I distinctly remember this happening. you had a chance to get lvl 9 loot from them and other goodies, but then they patched it so the loot no longer respawned if you'd already looted the air drop crates. and yeah before the water was gone.

yeah it was a whole thing, the loot would always respawn, there were videos explaining exactly what route to take and even some nearby areas that also had loot. and by the time you looted the last chest in the loop, the first chest would reset so you could do it again and again and then go sell the gear for money

it was obviously unbalanced but the economy was so garbage it was like the easiest way to get a decent amount of cash in game tbh
