There’s no button no, I believe you can turn it off or on in settings but I’m not sure, most people don’t use mics unless your playing with your friends. Out of all the games I’ve played on all the DL series I’ve barely run into people who use their mic. Which for me is a good thing because I never use mine.

Every once in awhile you’ll join someone who has there volume blasting through there tv and is breathing heavy into the mic so you’re hearing double of everything. Drives me nuts lol, even without using my mic I find it very easy to communicate with people through your actions.

I think the guns are fine, they mostly one tap to the head, sometimes you gotta double tap them. But the pistol, revolver, shotgun and sniper all have great damage. Same with the Ar and Smg but sometimes it takes 2 to the head with those. As for my favorite weapon, even though I hardly use it I like the simple machete. Any zombie game I prefer a machete and since Crane is holding it while hitting the volatile in the head with the UV in the artwork I like to think of it as his main weapon. I wish there was a blueprint for it so we could get it in a higher rarity. I don’t mod every weapon because some of them I prefer how they look without them but if you could get it in legendary or epic it would at least do more damage. When the Harran machete came to DL2 it’s pretty much all I used besides the knives.

While the story is linear, the world itself is open. So with these types of games I always do everything I can in the open world before moving on in the story, at very least do all the areas around where the missions are as I go. Keeps me over levels or at least the right level especially gear wise and weapons

Personally I think they were just afraid to add in the high end graphics settings on launch day to avoid bad PR of people with crappy computers saying the game is poorly optimised when it reality their PC just can't run the raytracing. The same thing happened recently with Indiana Jones and Doom The Dark Ages, both games added in their high end raytracing settings a few weeks after launch.

fr though they havent done a single thing to touch RT. The modder who made the RT mod noted that none of the patches even touched the files that had some remnants of the RT settings. RT was technically in review builds but it wasnt working. They probably just had some files on hand to make the nvidia advertisement to get $$$ and then didn't actually finish developing it.
