I played the Beast for the first time last weekend. Gotta say I'm impressed with the graphics. The environment is the most beautifully done yet. The interiors are nice to explore and still have life in them. I never liked the emptiness of the residential interiors of DL2. So far the frequently of virals are more enjoyable and only come out from loud noises and in beast mode which is way it should be. The only issue I have isbecause it takes 3-4 hits to kill a zombie the Stamina drains too fast on one handed weapons so I'm left having to run away from a mob of 4 zombies to regain stamina. The slash weapons feel more like blunt weapons. Chopping off heads with one swipe at the head with a machette was so satisfyingly in DL1 and 2. Wish it was more like that. But It's still early on the game for me so not sure if things get better. But other that that I'm loving it more than DL2 so far.

you should try the side quests if you haven't yet, can't name any in particular (would be spoilers) but I really enjoyed them and they took a good amount of time. were genuinely as good as the main story
also try the treasure maps, they have some cool environmental storytelling to go with them but it's not as impactful as the main story of course

Ngl- but it throws me off at times while playing Dying Light TB and some of the control configurations are swapped. Like- (im on ps5 btw) like- Hold X to drop attack zombies or press X to kick an idk how to feel about it cause I liked having to use L1 to kick or do all that similar to DL2. Somewhat bummed out I cant change that configuration in the settings cause I preferred the default settings in DL2 and want to map exactly all that for DL TB

It is reasonable, but it’s a game at the end of the day. If it takes up too much stamina, I won’t use it. Then it renders it pretty useless as I’d rather just use a uv light and hit them. But drop kicking is fun, so should be as accessible as possible if you know what I mean

Or at least make it insanely powerful for the stamina cost

Yeah for sure. I think it's probably a bit expensive as well. It is quite strong and I use it a lot. I don't mind the stamina though, makes combat feel trickier than it is
