oh and little tip of mine for whenever u do traditional work/work on paper, use regular graphite pencils for the sketch and use colored pencils for the lineart on top, u can erase the sketch beneath without taking out any of the clean work (and it stands out better either way)

start with pen and paper, honestly, it will let you develop more steady hand with drawing

and will be eaiser to start on pc. I honestly recommend a small tablet, like a5 size is more than fine. There are reliable and cheap brands, lot of my friends started with pentagram tablets, i use huion which is cheap and really good

So I'm making a name or a logo for my Custom Map, and this is what I came up with as a first attempt.

Rate it from 1/10 on how well it looks and perhaps share some thoughts and honest opinions on it.

(I can start on another template as I wait for the responses, once it'll be good enough I'll draw it bigger and more detailed on the next page.)

@elfin brook, I've decided to put more detail into the idea templates to make them more stand out which each prompt, yesterday I worked on the 'RUST' letters and finished with 'BLOOD'. However, I would like to add more to the letters for 'BLOOD', related to body parts or more, just to make it more in-theme.

What would you recommend I should add?

It relates to fights between infected and the blood being shed from them, rust on the other hand means armory and weapons, ol' metal pieces of protective gear and used tools for self-defense.

The Custom Map will be an arena, inspiration from the Pitt from the first game (when you're introduced to Demolishers for the first time), I loved that part of the game.

I'm afraid you'll have to wait, I'm still at the first step of development, and don't have the equipment needed (a computer).

Map creation will be a new thing for me once I get to that point of development.

The 'L' is supposed to resemble a neon light, while the other ones are just fancy letters with lightbulbs on the 'A' and 'L', and the 'T' 'R' and 'I' are similar, except they have smaller blinking lights and stuff.

If I pick this template, then the sign letters will be all different colours. Some will be in the same colour to make it look like some other letters from the signs were stolen and such.

Now I've been wondering, should I work on the other templates or just go with the one I just finished up detailing.

It's the best looking one so I'm certain that most would like this one instead of the others, so if that's the case, then this is the template I'm going to turn into a full-sized, coloured name for my Custom Map.
