@short wave Cool! We are also running it on Mineteria too, but I think it helps with 1.14+ more than earlier versions due to the large amount of abstraction Mojang has done.

We also do a lot of deeply-nested calls so we bumped our inlining depth as well. Seems to work like a charm, I think we probably had like a 5% improvement in MSPT

yeah for sure, when I said lower than 14 I meant java 14 btw since that's the default anyways :P but on J11 I'm seeing some pretty large gains on 1.16 just by adding the flag in like to like testing, so i wouldn't be surprised if aikar throws that on the flags list at some point, essentially no loss only gains

Well, the main reason why I advocate for the flag now is because Minecraft 1.14+ is deeply abstracted and really does benefit from it, there's minimal to no impact on earlier versions (even 1.8 servers can use this and see some small gains), and it's the default in Java 14 anyway so why not
