e-mail is another one. Most people use email now.

Some people still say set up vs setup.

English has a lot of leeway in it.

Some things are what's called a past participle. Like "This London-based company . . ."

There's also present participle, like "It was a good-looking person who . . ."

But you can see that you can reword those to eliminate the hyphen if you want. So it's a bit of a stylistic choice.
