Right now, I'm trying to grasp my head around best practices and figure out the best topology for our server. So right now, we just have a single server with multiple worlds, but we're anticipated having upwards of 100+ players, so we're considering switching to Waterfall and having each world (park) on a separate server. However, my biggest concern is data storage. Right now we're using a MySQL server for offline storage, with player data being cached to a hashmap on login/logoff. Now obviously this wouldn't work with multiple servers without some way of keeping them in sync. So I guess my first question is, is there a good, high performance way of doing that? I've looked a little bit into it and the general recommendation I've seen is having a single cache. I've seen Redis and RedisBungee tossed around a lot.
