It's hard to give recommendations for shared/vps as you typically don't get to know what CPU model it is.
A dedi is the go to, but comes with the overhead of managing the server
It's not that hard, but you do get a lot more performance
Also shared hosts are typically oversold so...never an amazing idea. Only if you're extremely budgeted

Is it normal for a shared host's daily node backups to cause massive lag? I've just confirmed that the intermittent issues related to 20-second lag spikes related to teleportation commands only coincides during the times when my host is doing their 45-minute-long daily backups, and my server is borderline unplayable during this time.
