If you’re just recoding plugins then you’re kind of stagnant either way
Features with poor performance that don’t bring in players aren’t going to magically bring in players just because there’s a marginal increase in performance
If you want people to stay, you need to offer them something unique. If they can get a better experience elsewhere, you better believe they will. This does not have to be totally unique features, as is evident by the huge copycat servers, but then they probably offer a better community/package deal/what have you
More people being aware of your server might be useful, sure, but that doesn’t help if they’re not interested in playing on it. People don’t join servers that offer them zero value. Provide that value, and you’ll get players (eventually)
