City just announce PlotSquared is deprecated, remove all downloads for it, and say the only alternative is PlotCubed which is 99 cents on the Spigot store. A bunch of server owners have the choice to either have an unsupported plugin with no alternatives or they’ll be like “oh it’s only 99 cents!!” And so mostly EVERYONE who is using PlotSquared will shell out a measly 99 cents to get the “better” plugin (which is just rebranded PlotSquared) which means you have at least one dollar for every couple of downloads currently on PlotSquared.
