mobs don't go through portals, occasionally the portals will not load into a world anymore (have to reboot), etc
the issues are not huge but my server is online right about 24/7 aside from a weekly reboot

That's why I used to be able to make a "creative" server run on a toaster back in the day, in-memory chunk compression meant it used no RAM and it had no entities other than players and minecarts
