there was a game mode in TERA Rising called the Alliance that was mixed PVE/PVP and it was actually pretty fun. Spend most of the week earning point in PVE with a few PVP battles here and there, but at the end of the week it was a 2 hour PVP battle royal. I think it was fun and didn't really lead to toxic community because it wasnt a constant exposure to the PVP
