Let's talk about consensual sex first, and I'm not going to go in graphic detail for obvious reasons. You know what you're doing, you know what could happen, and you have to carry that responsibility. Just like with drugs, you carry a responsibility with what could happen. I'm for 4 choices, abstinence, contraception, adoption, motherhood. I'm not okay with the fifth one which is murder. Let's go through those four choices, yeah?
First, abstinence. Some people make the argument "oh well you can't tell people to be abstinent in this day and age." You can, it's a choice like any other. My mother was abstinent, my sister now married to her husband was abstinent, my other two sisters are abstinent, and so am I. Mostly everyone has a sexual drive, but you have a steering wheel and that's called your brain. Use it.
Second, contraception. Other people also say "well you don't always have access to it." yeah right. You go to any store and you can pick up 50 cent condoms. You have a wide variety of contraceptions available to you. Latex allergy? There's stuff for that. I personally am allergic to latex but that doesn't mean there's not options. If a guy can't go to a drugstore and pick up 50 cent condoms then you probably shouldn't be sleeping with him anyway.
Third, adoption. People again say, "oh I wouldn't want to go through adoptions, so my child wouldn't either." But that's not your choice, is it? Why if a pregnant woman is murdered, is it considered a double homicide? Because it's another life. It's not your choice to decide whether they would rather die than to go through the adoption process. That's not your choice. It's a separate human with another life and they have the right to make that choice for themselves.
Fourth, motherhood. Some people again say that "I'm a college student, I don't want to change my life going through that, I want to be a student!" And that's garbage. Abortion is all about absolving responsibility from yourself and saying you don't have the choice. Just like everything else, there's a responsibility you carry. Drugs? There's a responsibility. Sex? You have a responsibility. Some people say "well I want to be able to have sex!" then that comes with a responsibility and you are fully aware of that, and just because you don't want to be a grown adult and be responsible for your actions, does not give you the right to murder another human.
