As I recall, they had constant radio surveillance to everyone on the team and could hear what they heard.
Failing that, they could have debriefed Peacemaker while he was recovering.

Right, Waller was talking to them through the implanted device, or something. But in S1E1 Peacemaker is surprised there is no one to let him go from the hospital, so I don't think he was debriefed at any point (and he would have no reason to go into that much detail).
